I have over 700 books in my Kindle collection from the military, special ops, espionage and now assassin genre. I still don't condon killing someone for money but I'm addicted to this series. Mr. Ryan gives us good plots, surprising twists and fast paced action. I also check out reviews that are 1 and 2 to see what they hated so much especially when I loved the book. One said that the action and plots were declining. I had somewhat thought that around book 7 of the series and considered it then. I don't really see how anybody could keep up the pace Mr. Ryan has with the unique plots and fast action. I don't like law enforcement books per se because I worked as a Cop for 24 1/2 years. I've seen a lot from rapists, murders to even 3 serial murder cases. My heart was always with the military and special ops but unfortunately being a female in the 80's gave me no chance to fulfil my goal. Someone said this book seemed to be confusing but if you have read the complete series to date you realize Mr. Ryan is steering us to either a big finale or at the least resolving things from Jack's past to go on to new adventures. I guess to sum up. I recommend this book and the series. Mr. Ryan is a talented author who fills the book with suspenseful plots and fast action. The only complaint I have is that Bear seems to be out of the picture and guys like Brett Taylor and Alik seem to be gone. I can't stand Clarissa so I hope her series is not coming. I would like to see Jack be able to stay somewhere so he can find some happiness and friendship. He could build his own team, huh?Product details

Never Go Home Jack Noble #8 edition by LT Ryan Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Knowing jack just may be your death sentence. I love the guy but he's deadly to be near. This time jack goes back home to go to a funeral of an old girlfriend. Jack is drawn into another conspiracy that one again he seems to be the key. It's a great book but I missed the secondary characters that have always been there for him. I think the author has found a wonderful main character but I wish we could learn more about why he is who he is. This book does delve into jacks history a little bit but I was wishing for more. Overall an awesome read. You can never go wrong reading anything by this author.
Another great book of entertainment by Jack Noble. He has a way of keeping you guessing what he will do next. I'm not writing much here because I have already downloaded #9 and I'm off to start reading. I like Jack so let's hope he stay alive long enough to finish this last book. Happy reading
Jack gets involved on two fronts in this excellent story. He is still working in London when he receives a call that his ex-fiancé has died. Sasha, his boss, obtains transportation for him into the US. Jack thinks he is "flying under the radar" but too many people are out to get him. The story takes place in Crystal River, Florida.
This is an excellent novel full of non-stop action. A lot of hit people around which create a lot of deaths. What is the connection to Jack, if any?
Fasten your seat belt for this one. As usual, an unexpected twist at the end which will surprise the reader.
Well done.
Most highly recommended.
If you like exciting, action packed mysteries, Ryan fills the bill with this Jack Noble novel. While he can be deadly in dangerous situations, he has a loveable and sometimes vulnerable side. This story finds Noble going back to his childhood sweetheart's funeral only to get caught up in a mystery so deep that he almost can't unravel. Threats on his family only add to the intrigue.
The only downside of this story is the sometimes questionable editing. Grammar and sentence structure sometimes are lacking; however, this does not take away from the heart of the story. I would recommend this story to any mystery reader. Ryan comes through again with a good story.
While I thought the story was a bit gruesome in spots, and in spite of that, it kept my interest. I've read all the Noble stories as available, and looking forward to more. Some have been out of sequence....but still enjoyed reading them. My big question is whether Jack & Bear will work together again. My hope is they will sometime in the Noble works.
I have read/ enjoyed each of L.T. Ryan's Noble books. Jack Noble is a terrific character. I read the novel, Never Go Home, quite some time ago and I still think about it. I remember the mood, certain phrases L.T. used and how the story didn't end exactly the way I wanted it to. Folks, this is a great novel. When one remembers the feelings invoked by an character and little, yet important details from a story long after one reads it...that should tell you something. I suggest you read the novel. Never Go Home is exceptional.
Although I like the books, and I understand the use of a hook to get you to buy the next book in the series, there are several books in this series--this being one of them--where the issues aren't resolved very well. Danger and death all over the place, and a couple of twists, but a very weak resolution to the story. To me, books should be able to stand on their own, and make you want to read the next one because the story is good, not because you want to resolve the last story. Otherwise, it's too commercial and the art of storytelling is lost. Lee Child is a good example of an author who does this well. Ludlum did it well also. Tom Clancy, Vince Flynn. I want this series to be successful, and I DID buy the next one in line every time, so using myself as an example, it worked. But it's a bit of a pyrrhic victory.
